طالب بعمر 12 سنة يعطي ملحمة الإجابة على السؤال ؟ هل حقا تحب أمريكا ؟

12-year-old student C.J. Pearson recorded a You tube video and released it in answer to the controversial question: ‘President Obama: Do You Really Love America?”

“Here’s the truth of the matter: I don’t want to be politically correct. I don’t care about being politically correct at this point,” Pearson begins and lives up to that billing. He continues:

“President Obama, You don’t love America. If you really did love America, you would call ISIS what it really is: an assault on Christianity, an assault on America and downright hate for the American values that our country holds. Freedom of speech, freedom of religion and every single thing that our country stands for.”

“I hope that one day people will get enough guts to speak out against your downright hatred for this nation.”

Pearson mentions his endorsement of Rudy Giuliani’s comments questioning whether the president indeed ‘loves’ America. The president has declined commenting on the remarks, which have lit up social media and drawn partisan lines on each side of the question.

Other politicians have been dragged in to opine on the matter or even to apologize on behalf of Giuliani, including potential 2016 presidential candidates Scott Walker and Bobby Jindal. House Republican Darrell Issa has weighed in on the matter, essentially backing Giuliani’s statement, while the White House and DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz have condemned it.

Pearson then talks about the president’s handling of the fight against ISIS:

“When they [ISIS] kill innocent Americans that have done no wrong except report on what is their constitutional right as journalists and you do nothing about it, you don’t care about their lives. You could care less!”

“But here’s what you need to realize: here in America, we don’t back down to terrorists. We fight them on their own battleground and we annihilate them till the very end.”

“Here in America, we don’t allow the government to take away what we work for but we continue to work harder so that we may continue to succeed.”

Just for the record, the president has ordered air strikes on the terror group (of debatable effectiveness) and has asked for authorization to send special forces to fight ISIS in a limited capacity.

Yet the White House has questionably released its plans to retake the key Iraqi stronghold of Mosul from the Islamic state and recently refused to back Egypt’s airstrikes against the terrorist group.

An overwhelming 58% of Americans disapprove of President Obama’s handling of the threat from ISIS. So, Pearson’s frustration with the president appears to be shared by millions of Americans.

The question of whether or not Obama loves America is a circular one: It depends on how one defines “love” for America – the way it was founded or how one thinks is best for its people living today.

Obviously, people disagree on what is best for the American people today, and so this argument does not have an easy definitive resolution (barring a shocking confession from the president himself).

Until then, we can look forward to hearing from young people like C.J. Pearson who say what they really think about things – whether or not others think it is “politically correct” to do so.
